What is cloud technology

Cloud technology ensures that information is processed and stored not on your own computers but in another place. Access to resources in the cloud is provided to users via an Internet connection, without being tied to specific equipment or hardware.

Advantages of cloud technologies

Efficiency

the necessary infrastructure on cloud facilities can be launched and configured in a matter of hours

Scalability

cloud solutions can be easily scaled to meet business needs by flexibly adjusting resource consumption

Security

geographically remote and secure data centers exclude situations with unauthorized information extraction

Cost-effectiveness

capital investment in your own infrastructure is reduced, and the cost of operating local infrastructure is reduced.

You only pay for the resources that are consumed

Reliability of cloud computing

is much higher in comparison to local resources - the cloud infrastructure is deployed in a full-fledged data center, the purchase and maintenance of which is impractical for a non-specialized enterprise

Accessibility

cloud resources are available to authorized users 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days, as long as they have an Internet connection and do not depend on client equipment and the geographic location of users.

Cloud deployment models

Private cloud

Is a cloud organization that allocates isolated resources for a specific company. The advantage of this type of cloud is flexibility in infrastructure configuration, performance stability due to the lack of competition for computing resources, and security of information storage due to the separation of the storage environment

Public cloud

Implies the sharing of computing resources by clients. Isolation is achieved through security policies. The advantages of this type of cloud include lower rental costs. The disadvantages are reduced security, competition for computing resources, which leads to application performance degradation, poor infrastructure, and insufficient flexibility in customization during peak loads.

Hybrid cloud

In this type of cloud, there are infrastructure elements that are hosted both in a private cloud and in a public one, as well as on the company’s physical infrastructure. To be more specific, the physical equipment of the entire IT infrastructure is located at the user’s premises or in the data center, while the virtual part is hosted by the cloud provider
